Terms & Conditions
Using this site means you accept these terms. There is no account to create and nothing to sign — visiting and using the converter is the acceptance.
Acceptance of these terms
These terms apply the moment you load the page, whether or not you convert anything. If you do not agree with them, the only enforcement mechanism is also the simplest one: close the tab.
What the service is
freeonlinemarkdowneditor converts Markdown into plain text, rich text or HTML source, entirely in your browser. It has no account system, no saved documents, and no server that ever sees the text you paste — see Privacy for the specifics. It is offered as a free tool and may change, gain or lose features, or be taken down, at any time and without notice.
Acceptable use
- Do not use the From URL loader to fetch a document you do not have the right to access or copy.
- Do not attempt to disrupt the site or its hosting — scraping every route in a tight loop, probing for vulnerabilities, or automating load against it.
- Do not pass off the converted output as having been produced by some other tool or person, where that would be a misrepresentation to a third party.
Ownership
The site's code, design and the freeonlinemarkdowneditor name belong to its operator. The Markdown you paste, and whatever plain text, rich text or HTML you get back, remain entirely yours — the site has no copy of it to claim any right over in the first place, since nothing you convert is ever transmitted anywhere.
No warranty
The service is provided as is and as available, with no guarantee that the conversion is complete, correct, or fit for a particular purpose, and no guarantee of uptime. To the fullest extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for any loss arising from using it or being unable to use it. Check anything that matters — a legal document, a job application, a paid deliverable — before you rely on the converted output.
Third-party services
Some deployments of this site load advertising or analytics scripts. Privacy lists exactly which ones, if any, the copy you are reading right now has loaded.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the service changes. The version on this page is the one in effect; there is no separate notification for a change.
